My favorite blog - a fairly new group blog - it really doesn't get a lot better than this one. Probably the best "nonprofessional" blog that only a small community knows about. Excellent writing, uncommon humanity. This is not my blog; these guys just deserve some significant recognition.

The Volokh Conspiracy

The Volokh Conspiracy was recently asked to join the Law.com Blog Network: "'Through this innovative partnership, Law.com now has tapped into a forum where important voices are providing insights into developing events and issues,' said Stacey Artandi, vice president, online publishing for ALM. 'We're excited that these individuals, who are closely followed and deeply respected, are enhancing our daily legal coverage by joining our Network. Law.com will continue to add emerging thought leaders as we expand our presence in the legal community.'" (we quote from a posting by Eugene Volokh at http://volokh.com/archives/archive_2004_11_14.shtml#1100889471
