The Podfather, of course:

Adam Curry's Daily Source Code started it all, and was just voted the people's choice award for best produced podcast:

We have to include the software architect and genius who was able to envision the technology behind podcasting in a few conversations with Adam Curry, and that is Dave Winer. His Morning Coffee Notes include the greatest insights in tech, surrounded by curious rantings that are of interest to no one. It takes a smart listener to separate the wheat from the chaff, and hear the jewels. Listen to his rendition of Turkey in the Straw and tell me that should not be the anthem of the U.S. Senate.

Brooke Gladstone from WNYC is one of the first NPR programs to make their material available in full as a podcast. Left of center, but extremely well produced and always controversial.

I nominate PotterCast:
http://www.pottercast.com

Produced by the people who produce The Leaky Cauldron, the best place for Harry Potter news on the Web. It's the ONLY Harry Potter podcast to have interviews with actors and crew from the films, to interview fans and people with special expertise. It's the only one to present consisntently informative, intelligent and funny content, week after week. They occasionally work with MuggleCast for fun, but their show is what truly shines.

In addition to all the great exclusive content, they have fun things with fans like impression contests and song shows...it's really a wonderful, hilarious program for a Potter fan of any age!!

Okay, I'm not going to be shy. I'd like to nominate our new blog, where we just began posting podcasts. Our first was "J.F.K. Would Not Have Planned Preemption."

I'm a Democratic talk radio host without a home, so podcasts will be a very important part of my blog going forward.

Hope you stop by. If you do, drop me a line.

By far the best podcast which has bloggers on all the time is SUBJECT2DISCUSSION at http://www.subject2discussion.com so many bloggers have been on for deep discussions about foreign policy and politics.

The host is Shaun OMac Daily at shaunomacradio@yahoo.com

For those who cannot join us LIVE you can listen to the podcast with or without an IPOD. If you have an IPOD here is the IPOD rss url:

http://podcasts.lvrocks.com/rss.aspx?channelid=5

If you do not have an IPOD you can still listen to the podcast via this address:

http://podcasts.lvrocks.com/details.aspx?castid=5

By clicking on that address it takes you to a screen where you can pick and choose the previous programs to listen to.
