The blog has achieved success through hard work, perserverance and bringing concerned citizens together. It has lead a charge for Conservative values against the onslaught of the ACLU. It saw it void and it filled in a big way.
Through Open Trackback Fests, and starting its own Carnival, Stop the ACLU is helping create a sense of community on the web. Its going to be a powerful force in the blogosphere for years to come. Quite some time ago, while google searching for something or other, I stumbled upon Commonwealth Conservative.
I was immediately drawn in by his sparse, yet concise writing style, and the general "friendliness" of the site's owner.
After only a few visits to his site I realized just how well grounded Chad is in Virginia Politics. (And old movies. And Baseball.) I began to use his site as a source of news.
He is always quick to acknowlege new Virginia blogs, and will attempt to link his large readership base to Virginia bloggers of either party.
The only negative anyone on the selection commitee will find regarding Mr. Dotson's Blog is the fact that it was reading his that inspired me to create mine. Forgive him for that, he knew not what he was doing.
