Nominate your choice for Best New Blog. The blog must have been established after November 19, 2004 - when last years nominations opened.

Blog Name: Stop the ACLU
URL: http://www.stoptheaclu.com
Feed: feed:http://stoptheaclu.com/feed/

This time last year, Stop the ACLU didn't exist. (established February of 2005) Today, it is ranked as the 6th highest blog in the TLLB Ecosystem and has risen to the class of Instapundit and Captain Quarters.

The blog has achieved success through hard work, perserverance and bringing concerned citizens together. It has lead a charge for Conservative values against the onslaught of the ACLU. It saw it void and it filled in a big way.

Through Open Trackback Fests, and starting its own Carnival, Stop the ACLU is helping create a sense of community on the web. Its going to be a powerful force in the blogosphere for years to come. Stop the ACLU is accessible, intelligently written and provides a forum for Conservatives to air their views.

Its a success story that shows in America, in the 21st Century, and in the blogosphere, you can still achieve anything you put your mind to. Its my honor and privilege to nominate "Stop the ACLU" for Best New Blog.

Of course, Pooch Master (www.PoochMaster.blogspot.com ) is clearly in the running as one of this year's Best New Blogs. This pro-dog blog, with a political slant, demonstrates how mainstream politics affects us all... even to the point of owning a dog! This web blog is written by Sam Basso, a Professional Dog Trainer & Behaviorist. He is also a solid conservative, who points out, time and again, how the Far Left Wing and Far Right Wing wackos are harming everyone. Free enterprise, national defense, nationalism, immigration... and of course, responsible dog ownership... are all discussed in interesting and unique detail. One of his columns has already been excerpted at www.RealClearPolitics.com

Try going to www.PoochMaster.blogspot.com and see for yourself. This is an excellent new blog, and should be considered in this competition.

For those who are tired of the relentless partisan diatribe of so many political blogs, Oval Office 2008 is an oasis of dispassionate moderation and impartial observation with a dose of wit and sarcasm.

Since January, Oval Office 2008 has been commenting on all the news about the next US presidential election - all from the other side of the Atlantic Ocean.

Already mentioned on CNN and MSNBC, Oval Office 2008 is for those who want to know, rather than be told what to think.

Ivory Power
http://ivorypower.com
http://ivorypower.com/blog/?feed=rss2

A funny name, original logo, and a unique idea. Josh is an Asian American who's sick of false-dichotomy in politics and provoked by how Hugh Hewitt overrated the blogosphere by writing a book of thin content. Thus he created Ivory Power, a blog co-written with his best friend and debater in politics Dick. (Debates between the 2 are sometimes even live on the blog)

The interesting thing is Josh is ultraconservative and anti-war on the side of Pat Buchanan, JBS. He's openly anti-Zionist and isn't afraid to defend racist hate speech in the name of freedom. It's a very new blog and might not be popular among neoconservatives (thus possibly bad to run as a "conservative" nominee)

Mazurland Blog is written by three brothers. It has a mix of maturity (which some of the blogs that are obviously written by 25 year olds lack), immaturity (for their ages), puckishness, seriousness, on a wide range of topics, that many blogs can't touch.

They also have a shameless plug for votes.

Posted by: Paul at November 22, 2005 12:15 PM

The highest impact new blog is Unclaimed Territory by Glenn Greenwald. He literally writes 2 or 3 long, extremely well-written political essays a day, and they end up being quoted everywhere.

These guys are human rights activists and have to blog anonymously from Zimbabwe because the government doesn't welcome freedom of speech. The blog started just before Zimbabwe's elections in March this year.

Best New Blog: Political Calculations
URL: http://politicalcalculations.blogspot.com/
RSS: http://politicalcalculations.blogspot.com/atom.xml

First post: December 6, 2004

Political Calculations is unique in the blogosphere - it is the only blog that builds and provides useful tools on a regular basis that helps its readers decide what's best for themselves, whether it's political (Social Security reform, gas taxes, pork-barrel spending), personal finance (stock market, credit cards), business-related (career choices), economics (GDP) or just general fun (U.S. turkey production, lottery tickets).

For best new blog, I'd like to nominate The NAM Blog: http://blog.nam.org

They started in late november and have been recognized by several PR firms for their quality of writing style. They also have helped start several other blogs too making them genuine contributors to the blog community.

Its also a funny blog and written in a very toung-and cheek style that is very atypical of the group they represent.

Okay, I'm not going to be shy. I'd like to nominate our new blog. There's nothing on the web like it and we've even just launched podcasts. I'd like to invite you to check it out. We launched the blog in late August 2005.

Best New Blog:
Mom 2 Mom Connection

I'd like to invite any of you out there who are moms in need of a few laughs or encouragement to come visit my new blog, Mom 2 Mom Connection.

I'm definitely one of the newest bloggers, as I've only been at this for two months. But I post every day, so I keep things interesting.

I'm crazy about books, so I offer you some reviews of great books. Other topics I blog about: parenting, cats, writing, blogging, wellness, faith, friendship, marketing -- and Japan. I love Japan!

All these categories, mixed with my personal mothering journey -- well, you at least won't be bored.

So, stop in and visit!
