A remarkably unique blog. A daily definition from Ambrose Bierce's Devil's Dictionary. An update for 2005. And then a lively game of one-upsmanship in the comments.

UrbanGrounds is a no-holds barred slug-fest with the Liberal Left.
Here's what one top Blogger had to say about UrbanGrounds: "[UrbanGrounds]Definitely has two of the things I look for most in a blog...quality and consistency of quality."

I nominate Blackjack at http://holecard.blogspot.com/

Sarsparilla (#5119)

A Random Yak's eye view of the world and just about everything in it.
I hereby nominated a blog so good, it should never be ranked this low, but that sure gives him a good chance to make the finals, I would hope...

Joust the Facts

RSS feed is tricky. Site offers a feed in lower right margin, but I can't get a URL for it. Blogstreet searched, but couldn't find it. PLEASE tell me he can still be considered! Thank you so much!
Good luck, T.M.!
I nominate....me!
The Noonz Wire
The Noonz Wire is Alex Nunez's personal blog, serving up right-sided opinion, commentary, and plain old chit-chat about politics, entertainment, sports and more on a daily basis (or as often as Real Life allows). It's comfort food for your brain.

(and including the link this time)
Free-market environmentalism, practical tips for saving energy, and energy policy.
Mazurland Blog is written by three brothers. It has a mix of maturity (which some of the blogs that are obviously written by 25 year olds lack), immaturity (for their ages), puckishness, seriousness, on a wide range of topics, that many blogs can't touch.
They also have a shameless plug for votes.
Army Of Mom
Bullseye at American Drumslinger --- NSFW -- Never Safe for Work.
A Conservative songwriter caught in a squirrel cage!
"All Gods chillun' gotta hear from one of the seven conservative entertainers on the planet!"
I nominate Now That's Progress -- "a blog that isn't afraid to question progressive politics while still being unabashedly left wing."
Of course I'm the author, so my description may be a bit self-serving.
Intercepts (#6460)

Investigative reporting on teachers' unions. Unique and funny!
It was nice of someone to nominate me, but the URL for Intercepts is http://www.eiaonline.com/intercepts.htm
I'd like to nominate InsureBlog:

Interesting and provocative insurance info and commentary.

Many thanks to my better half for nominating me without telling me. :) Now THAT is love.
I made the finals last year in a higher category because he was shooting for the stars for me. So, I'm hoping I can make the grade in the appropriate category this year, too.
*giving my best Puss in Boots face*
I have the Seinfeld of blogs. It is a blog about a variety of anything from my family's latest venture out to cut down a Christmas tree to my sexual appetite for Hobbits or it can be a trip into my innermost thoughts as I struggle with my mother's recovery from a stroke and the challenges we face with that. So, it is really a blog about nothing and a blog about everything. One day, you may get nothing but potty humor and the next day it is a tirade on the tyranny of the public education system.
So, come one, come all ... www.armyofmom.com
